Culinary Classes

Culinary by Hobby Hill offers hands-on instructional classes in cheese making, artisan bread making, canning, and pasta at our studio in Powhatan, Virginia — plus select off-site locations by request.

Every class is taught at our brick-and-mortar studio: 2652 Anderson Highway, Powhatan, VA 23139. New dates and times are added each month, so check our calendar to find a class that fits your schedule. Powhatan classes are listed and booked right here on our website.

Interested in a Private or Customized Class?

Culinary by Hobby Hill offers a flat rate or per-person rate for private classes, large or small. We supply all the consumables and offer a snack of breads, crackers, and cheese made by you, along with iced tea and coffee. To host a private class, contact us at sharon@hobbyhillfarm.com.

Please Note:

Bring an apron and a container to take home cheese from your cheesemaking session. For canning classes, please skip open-toed shoes and bring an apron, extra canning jars, and a box to carry home your warm, processed jars.
