Sourdough Basics - an Introduction & Bake


Welcome to your introductory class on Sourdough.

What to expect: Attendees will take home "starter" prepared by Hobby Hill

  • Attendees will enjoy freshly baked bread in the class.
  • Attendees will take home a lame (razor) to cut your bread

What to bring: Attendees should bring a 2qt container to take freshly fed starter home and a bowl to take home your fresh made dough.

Attendees will receive directions on how to bake their bed after the Bulk rise.

Supplies to have on hand:

Bread Flour - King Arthur preferred

Dutch Oven with top

Parchment Paper

Fun Class with Great Take Home Products

This class was all that I hoped for. Sharon made it very enjoyable and explained each step thoroughly. After sampling fresh baked bread during the class we were able to bring home two small Sourdough loaves that we made, one mix ready to bake, a container of starter and How To Do instructions. Can't wait until my next class. 😀

So much fun!

Sharon’s fun and expert instruction started my love of making sourdough! The class was hands on and comprehensive, and we got to take home our own starter and lame (dough blade). Highly recommend!
