We got to make our own batch of cinnamon buns, and taste some pre-made with different flours for comparison. Quite a sugar buzz. It was busy and took the full 2 hours - glad the class was only 6 people; with more it would have been nuts. Fun class with goodies to take home.
Thank you Patience. We are so glad that you enjoyed your class with us at Hobby Hill Farm. Gluten Free can be challenging which is why we go above and beyond with multiple flour options. Anyone who has chosen a GF path knows that there are challenges which can add to the time allotted in a class. We love smaller classes on the GF classes for just these reasons. ~sharon

Gluten Free - Cinnamon Buns
Thank you Nancy. I am so glad we had a chance to catch up on why you provided a 2 star review. Please know anytime you are in our class that there are additional options. Cinnamon Buns are typically served with Cream Cheese Icings but if I had known you preferred Vanilla Buttercream then I would have been happy to assist with making that change. As for texture -this is based on the temperature and agitation of the yeast and the amount of time for proofing. Our recipe is tried and true with each of the 3 brands we had as options. We are available if you need additional assistance. ~sharon
Once again, Sharon did not disappoint. My friend and I attended this class and I learned a lot about canning. The fritters were delicious and baked not fried, which was great!
We had fun as a group and Sharon expertly handled the varying paces of the participants.
This is my second class and I will definitely be back.
Hi Jay! Thank you so much for your kind words and for attending our class. Loved meeting Crystal for her first visit. We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed the apple fritters and learned some new tips for canning. We hope to see you again soon for another fun and delicious class! 😊 ~sharon
What a pleasure it was meeting and learning from Sharon. She is patient, provides clear explanations, with enthusiasm and kindness, all in a supportive learning environment. Fun, and I look forward to becoming an expert!
I have always been intimidated about trying to make my own gluten free bread. There were so many flours and I worried that I would just end with a bland hockey puck. Then I found Culinary by Hobby Hill. I LOVE the way Sharon has figured out how to cover all facets of the gf sourdough making process in a single class - starting with trying the final product to get you excited about how delicious you own bread will be! I loved getting to practice each stage of the process even though it would normally happen over nearly a 24 hour period! I went away confident in next steps and made another loaf from start to finish a couple days later. Sharon has such a passion for what she does. It is infectious and I can't thank her enough for making herself available after the class for questions and encouragement as we sent pix of our first loaves! After twelve years of being gluten free I finally have fresh out of the oven, delicious bread. Thank you so much! I will definitely be back for your other gf classes!!
