Celebrate National Curried Chicken Day with a Flavorful Journey

Celebrate National Curried Chicken Day with a Flavorful Journey

Every January 12th is National Curried Chicken Day, a celebration of the rich history and global love for this comforting and flavorful dish. With origins tracing back 8000 years in India, chicken curry has since traveled the world, delighting taste buds in Britain, the Caribbean, Asia, and beyond.

At Culinary by Hobby Hill, we recently explored this culinary tradition in our Abbey Road Class, where we prepared Coronation Chicken—a dish created to honor Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. This classic curried chicken recipe perfectly blends the spices and history that make this dish so iconic.

Looking ahead, join us on February 28th for our class, Mastering the Art of Paneer Butter Chicken Masala & Naan. In this immersive class, you’ll create Paneer Butter Chicken Masala and learn to bake fresh, fluffy naan bread. You’ll also dive into the world of Indian spices, mastering techniques to balance bold flavors and create a dish that’s as authentic as it is delicious.

Celebrate National Curried Chicken Day by embracing its history and flavors. Whether you make a dish at home or join us for a future class, this vibrant tradition is worth every bite!
