I’ve lost count of how many cooking and baking classes I’ve taken with Sharon. It all started with my search for a cupcake decorating class because, let’s be honest, that’s never been my strong suit. A quick Google search led me to Hobby Hill and, instead of cupcakes, I thought, macarons? Why not?
Before Sharon’s class, I had only one successful macaron attempt (probably beginner’s luck). Every other try ended in cracked, misshapen, edible abominations. But in that first class, she taught us the techniques to make them perfect. From that moment on, I was hooked.
Then came the bread classes…Greek food…Indian cuisine…Croissants… and now, after 25+ classes, I think I basically live here. Sharon’s knowledge, patience, and passion for teaching make every class an incredible experience. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned home cook, you’ll walk away with skills you can actually use—and the confidence to tackle recipes that once seemed impossible. If you’re even thinking about taking a class at Hobby Hill, do it. You won’t regret it! You'll probably see me there.....haha
Learned alot. Can not wait to take this to my kitchen and make these cookies. Great host!
Amazing time and delicious macarons to take home! Sharon did a great job walking the group through making these yummy treats - my daughter and I had a great time. Highly recommend :)
Wonderful class, great instructor, easy to follow directions and delicious results.
Thank you Eddie for the review. So nice to meet you this session. We are so glad that you and your daughter we able to cook together and share an experience with the rest of the group! ~Sharon & The Culinary by Hobby Hill Team
Great class! The pasta was fun and easy to make. Loved the shrimp scampi to go on top. Sharon is a great instructor. I’ve already signed up for a third class.
Sharon’s gluten-free sourdough class was an absolute delight! Her passion for baking and deep knowledge of gluten-free techniques made the experience both educational and inspiring. She explained each step clearly, from starter care to baking the perfect loaf, and offered plenty of hands-on guidance. The class was well-paced, beginner-friendly, and full of helpful tips that made gluten-free baking feel approachable and fun. Plus, the bread we made was delicious—crusty on the outside, soft and tangy on the inside. Highly recommended for anyone looking to master gluten-free sourdough!
