Thai Chili Guava Glazed Grilled Chicken Wings

Thai Chili Guava Glazed Grilled Chicken Wings

Sweet Heat on the Grill: Thai Guava Glazed Chicken Wings

There’s something magical about sweet heat meeting open flame, and these Thai Guava Glazed Chicken Wingsdeliver exactly that. Juicy wings, lightly spiced and grilled until crisp, are finished with a glossy glaze made from Thai chile guava jam, lime, and tamari—creating a bold balance of sweet, tangy, and savory.

These wings are perfect for spring grilling, casual entertaining, or when you want something just a little unexpected for game day or family gatherings. Best of all, they come together quickly and are easy to scale for a crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken wings, split

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2 teaspoons avocado oil

For the Thai Guava Glaze

Directions

  1. In a bowl, toss the wings with salt, ground ginger, garlic powder, and avocado oil until evenly coated. Let sit for at least 15 minutes while preheating the grill.

  2. Preheat the Grill – Heat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.

  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer and grill for about 15–20 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crispy and cooked through (165 degrees with an instant-read thermometer)

  4. While the wings cook, heat the guava jam, soy sauce, lime juice, and vinegar in a small saucepan over low heat. Whisk until smooth and slightly thickened, about 3–5 minutes.

  5. Glaze the Wings – During the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush the wings generously with the guava glaze. Flip and glaze again, allowing the sauce to caramelize slightly.

  6. Let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving with extra glaze on the side.
