The class was not what I had expected. The instructor was fun and energetic but perhaps too ambitious to try to make two different things (sushi and mochi) in shifts with two groups. We were basically given a recipe and told to begin with little to no demonstration. Before long it felt chaotic as everyone was a but lost. The instructor bounced back and forth between the two groups without really being able to devote any time to show us what to do. The groups switched stations with no cleanup or reset so round two was a total literal mess. The ingredients were also too few for the number of people. I think it is a nice concept. More demo, explanation and materials and fewer students would help make a better learning environment.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. While we’re glad you enjoyed the energy of the instructor, it’s clear that aspects of the class — including the format, transitions, and support — fell short.
We’ve taken your comments seriously and are actively working on adjustments to improve future classes, including smaller group sizes, clearer demonstrations, better station transitions, and ensuring all guests have the materials they need.
We always aim to create a hands-on, educational, and enjoyable experience, and we regret that this one missed the mark for you.

We totally enjoyed our class. Very informative, friendly teacher and delicious cream puffs
Thank you Suzan for the review. It has beena. pleasure having you in our classes. Making cream puffs tomorrow and may make a change on the topping. Let me know if you are interested in a 'cracklin' or if you just prefer the classic chocolate coating. ~sharon & the Culinary Team.
I took my first class recently where we as a class made 3 different soups. Each as warming and delightful as the next! I couldn’t believe that Sharon had everything already cut and ready for us to cook. Our own Sous chef! She paired me beside someone who helped guide me thru and she constantly supported me throughout the night. I loved the people , the food and the awesome atmosphere . I can’t wait to take more ! I told Sharon I was especially wanting to take a pasta class. But they all look scrumptious . Thank you for a fun and tasty evening. Mr picky, my husband , ate all three containers I bought home (unfortunately for me)… leaving me less!
Thank you, I’ll be back!
Thank you for the review Theresa. It certainly was a pleasure meeting you and you were stationed next to Sally who is a Dream. Sally has been to many of our classes and she has the routine down pat of being ready to go when you get to our faciliity. As you can tell we like to pack our classes with all the delicious items! Sounds like Mr. Picky is a fan too!! Looking forward to seeing you back soon. ~sharon & the Team at Hobby Hill

Thank you Terry - so glad you and your husband were able to make this class. We have loved this class from the beginning! Excited to bring on the German Cookies class in December so watch for those photos and Inspiration for the upcoming holidays. Thank you again ~Sharon & the Hobby Hill Team.
Sharon’s classes are always great
Thank you Janet for the review so happy that you enjoyed the class. I am thinking of including these crackers in our holiday baskets. Something about the seeded one that just speaks to me. The animal crackers were the cutest and you could also do these in Chocolate flavoring. Party season is here and you will be all set with these 2 dips as well. Enjoy! ~sharon
Hobby Hill was easy to work with. Thanks for everything.
Thank you for the review Steven! So glad you received and feel free to share what you are making as we love all types of Cheeses.
