Christmas Cookie Decorating

Need some time to de-stress? Try our Sugar Cookie Decorating Class is the place to be.

The Plan:

Make Royal Icing from start to finish with our recipe. Color your own icing.

Decorate your own package of 9 freshly baked Vanilla Flavored Sugar Cookies in multiple themes.

What should you bring:

Bring a container for you to take your freshly decorated cookies. Bring several containers so that you can have room for the cookies to dry and you can easily handle without bumping into a cookie when placing into the container.

Have you ever used a scribe or an air brush? Have you ever wondered how to get consistent lettering on your cookies? Proper way to dry and store your cookies?

How long does icing last? Should I refrigerate? We answer these questions and so much more in our in-store classroom.

This class will have mix icing with stand mixer and then mix your colors and bag. You will spend the majority of the 2 hour time frame seated to decorate your cookies.

We will be serving Coffee, Tea, Cocoa and some light refreshments during the class.

Sugar cookie decorating

My daughter and I had another great class learning techniques to decorate sugar cookies with royal icing. We can't wait to use our skills on our Christmas cookies. Highly recommend taking a class!

Cookie Fun

Great class with lots of helpful tips on decorating “worthy of a bakery” cookies. I had a couple failures at home before the class but now have the confidence to try again. All the supplies for making beautiful cookies are available and set up for your arrival. Just walk in and have fun!

Fun Times and Learn Cookie Decorating Skills

Cookie Decorating Class was a great experience. Sharon has such an easy manner and was a wonderful teacher. She was always available to help us fix our mistakes. We had 7 students in our class at all skill levels. The more experienced students also gave tips to us less experienced students. It was a fun time and we brought home some delicious cookies.

Fun and great engagement

I really enjoyed the cookie decorating class! Energy was great, instruction clear, and if you needed some 1:1- they made time! Lots of sprinkles and colors to choose. Can’t wait to try it myself!

Another Fun Experience

I have taken several classes previously and have always found Sharon to be informative and patiently helpful with everyone. This class I brought my son along who originally had worried that he would be the only beginner. Much to his surprise, he wasn’t and had a blast. He got to take this class home and decorate cookies with his two sons.

Sourdough Is Better After Working With Sharon

Great hands on class. Great to see process from start and at the same time work with my own starter and introduce one change for a side by side experience.

Cooking with Kids!

What a great experience! 2 consecutive days separately with grandsons, ages 9 and 7. They were so excited and the experience did not disappoint! Sharon is a wonderful instructor, providing direction and suggestions, still allowing the boys room for creativity. The facility is clean and organized, staff is welcoming, and kids are talking about our next visit!

Thank you so much for sharing this — it means a lot to hear the boys were excited both days and that the experience matched it. Watching kids find their own creativity within a little guidance is one of my favorite parts of teaching, so I'm glad that came through. Can't wait to see them back in the kitchen soon!

Fun activity but Sharon needs an assistant so she can spend more time with participants and be more hands on.

Mozzarella

I really enjoyed learning how to make the actual cheese, however, I did not like being the only person in a group of couples. I was very uncomfortable. I don’t know how that can be rectified in the future, but I would certainly ask, in my case, that it not happen again. There were four couples and me. Personally, that’s the type of situation that I don’t care to be in, and, like I said, I don’t know how it can be rectified, but I’m trying to be honest. Sharon does an amazing job teaching and I’m looking forward to trying the mozzarella on my own, but my experience with this section was not as pleasant as my sourdough experience and my pasta/shrimp scampi experience.

Thank you so much for sharing this — both the kind words about the cheese-making itself and the honest feedback about the group. I want everyone to feel comfortable in class, and I'm sorry this one didn't land that way for you. Makeups can be a little unpredictable since classes fill differently each time, but I hear you and I'll keep this in mind. Really glad the sourdough and pasta/shrimp scampi classes were such good experiences — hope to see you back soon!

Peach jam and peach focaccia

It was a very jam packed, no pun intended, class with lots of information. Wonderful recipe sheets to take home and I feel confident that I’ll be able to do it repeat this recipe in the future. Sharon is a very good teacher.
